As global attention towards environmental protection and sustainable development continues to rise, the “Tainan International Green Industry EXPO 2024” is set to be held from May 30th to June 1st, 2024, at the Tainan Exhibition Center. This event, organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ Bureau of Foreign Trade and sponsored by the Business Weekly, continues to serve as an international stage showcasing the latest advancements and technological innovations in the green industry. The exhibition aims to further expand its influence and participation.
Recognized for three consecutive sessions under the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ “Assistance Program for New Exhibitions in Taiwan,” this expo demonstrates its significant contribution to promoting the development of the green industry. With over 120 exhibitors expected to participate covering 300 booths, and attendees from more than six countries, the expo will focus on the latest developments in government-academic cooperation, zero carbon and plastic reduction solutions, green energy, smart energy storage, green building materials, electric vehicles and battery technology, circular economy, energy-saving and environmental protection equipment, and green finance.
Looking back at the previous edition, through a combination of physical and online exhibition formats, it successfully attracted 8,206 on-site visitors and 9,959 online visits, with on-site transactions totaling up to NT$60 million. Compared to the previous year, the number of booths has increased by nearly 30%, with 80 exhibitors from countries such as Germany, Belgium, South Africa, Singapore, and Hong Kong. This not only promoted the development of the green industry in southern Taiwan but also demonstrated the significant role of the “Tainan International Green Industry EXPO” as a crucial platform for capturing green business opportunities.
The expansion of specialized seminars during the exhibition period, one of the main reasons attracting professionals from all over Taiwan, is noteworthy. Based on the success of the second edition, the expo expanded to host six major themed professional seminars, including ESG, net-zero carbon emissions, smart energy storage, and other hot topics, attracting 30 heavyweight speakers and 650 participants, which became a key factor in attracting professionals. Therefore, the “Tainan International Green Industry EXPO 2024” plans to further expand the scale and sessions of the seminars, providing a more comprehensive and in-depth exchange platform to promote discussions on the latest trends, technological innovations, challenges, and opportunities in the green industry.
This exhibition is co-organized by the Tainan City Economic Development Bureau and the Tainan Exhibition Center, with strong support from various co-organizers such as the Taiwan Photovoltaic Industry Association, the Southern Taiwan Science Park Bureau of the National Science and Technology Committee, the Taiwan Environmental Protection and Resource Recycling Equipment Industry Association, the Taiwan Zero Emission Association, the Taiwan Carbon Trading Promotion Association, the Taiwan Green Technology Industry Alliance, the Taiwan Energy Storage System Industry Promotion Alliance, the Taiwan Plastic Industry Development Center, and the Tainan General Chamber of Commerce, collectively outlining the future blueprint for the green industry.
